Piper has produced its second book, Going Global. The book, published to recognise Piper’s 30th anniversary year, is a collection of first-person insights from 30 renowned entrepreneurs and managers on lessons learned from international growth. From Paul Smith’s extraordinary success in Japan to Marks & Spencer’s infamous US disaster, Going Global reveals the truth about how some of Britain’s best-known brands have fared overseas.
Launched at Heal’s on Tottenham Court Road, Johnny Boden and Julian Granville (MD) of Boden opened the event by talking about their experiences in partnering with Piper to grow Boden internationally. Testament to their efforts, Boden’s international side of the business recently overtook the UK in revenue terms for the first time, with a large part of it due to its success in the US.
